BARBARA FAIDLEY

BARBARA FAIDLEY has worked as Patrick Trudell’s
paralegal since 1993. This initially led
her to become a paralegal in the
field of family law. She was involved in all aspects of
family law practice, including motions practice, trials
and dealing with dissolution clients as well as
lawyers.
Approximately 15 years ago, Pat decided to
emphasize personal injury. Since then Barbara
has become a personal injury paralegal. She is skilled at intaking a personal injury
case, ordering medical records and dealing with
insurance adjusters. She regularly deals with
subrogation adjusters, ERISA plans and government
insurance plans.
Barbara is also accomplished at trial work. She
prepares complaints, interrogatories, assists in
answering interrogatories, assists in preparing
settlement demands and is responsible for preparing ER
904 documentation, joint statements of evidence, motions
in limine and jury instructions. Barbara has
assisted in a personal injury jury trial, from voir dire
through verdict. She earned an associates degree in
paralegal studies from Edmonds Community College and has
been a paralegal since 1987.
KIMBERLY ORTLOFF

Kimberly Ortloff was born in Kirkland, Washington in
1983. She has resided in Kirkland for 25 years.
Kimberly graduated from Lake Washington High School in
2001. She then went directly to the University of
Washington where she double majored in Sociology and Law
and Justice.
While
at the University of Washington Kimberly applied for,
and was accepted into a National Exchange Program to study at the
University of Hawaii. After studying
in Hawaii, Kimberly returned to the University of
Washington where she graduated in 2005.
Kimberly then went to work for Verizon Communications as
a Project Manager for the new fiber optics build in
Washington State. In addition to her job as a project
manager she was asked to be the local area coordinator
in Washington for the LEAD (Leadership
Education and Development) program. This translated to
working with executives and VPs to help develop Verizon’s new management.
After
working for Verizon for two years, Kimberly decided to
leave Verizon and go into law. She has been a
legal assistant for Pat Trudell at the law firm of
Kornfeld, Trudell, Bowen & Lingenbrink since the
beginning of 2008. Kimberly is responsible for
obtaining medical records, preparing settlement demand
letters, organizing settlement demand packages,
coordinating depositions, working with insurance
adjusters, working with personal injury clients and
handling their cases from intake through litigation. |
